Volunteer Role Descriptions:
Volunteer Coordinator
This position will interview new/potential volunteers and help assign roles.
District Volunteer Lead
This role will coordinate volunteers within your district and review literature from your school board and share with parents in your school district.
Assist with administrative tasks
This role will help manage our task management system (ClickUp) and check in with the team for progress updates and notify other people who need to be involved in tasks as well as reply to emails that info@savemath.net receives.
Social Media Coordinator
This role will help with creating content, reaching out to people who may help with our cause, and managing any new messages that we receive.
Blog writer
This role will be responsible for writing blogs on a pre-approved list of topics. (We are open to new blog topics as well.)
Sending text updates via our text service
We would like to implement text updates for when new information about the framework is released. This role will be responsible for helping with setup and management as well as drafting and editing text messages.
Drafting emails to send
This role will be responsible for assisting with marketing efforts by drafting and editing emails that will be sent to parents and other groups that we connect with through email marketing.
Review articles
This role will be responsible for reviewing new articles that are written about the framework and sharing appropriate articles with the team to be placed on our social media and, at times, on the website.
Post updates to our website
This role will help maintain an updated website. Much of this role will consist of posting new blogs to the site. We will also ask you to update the Open Letter Page with new signatures.
Review your local school board meeting agendas to see if there's anything coming up that parents would want to know about
This role will share any interesting agenda items with the email role to be shared with people in their school district to help keep everyone notified about what is going on in their district.
Watch school board meetings in your district (in person or virtual)
This role will share any interesting details about the meetings with the email role to be shared with people in their school district to help keep everyone notified about what is going on in their district.
Watch legislative meetings online
This role will watch meetings and create notes and summaries about the meetings and even share important clips with the team so that we can pull information to share on our website and social media accounts.
Watch state school board meetings
